Starburst Personality Test

Scene: A moving car. LORIN is enjoying a post-swim class package of Starbursts. MOMMY is driving.

Lorin: What's your favorite flavor? (She rummages through the package, finds a yellow Starburst, and holds it up.)

Mommy: The red ones.

Lorin: (Thinks for a few seconds.) But I thought you liked the yellow ones?

Mommy: Nope, I don't. My favorite are the red ones.

Lorin: (Still holding the yellow one.) But I thought your favorite was the yellow one!

Mommy: Fine. You're right, I like the yellow ones. (Lorin hands over the yellow Starburst and waits for Mommy to eat it.)

So here's just one little reason why I love my husband: we had been married for over a year before he finally confessed that his favorite Starbursts also were the red and pink ones; he let me believe that he liked the yellow and orange ones best so I could have all the good ones.

And back to the car, where now I am eating yellow Starbursts because I love someone and want them to be happy. Lorin, however, is a better person than me, because a few minutes later I heard, "Mommy, here's a red one for you!"

So it looks like the third time's the charm; we are actually going to close on a house later this month. (For those of you I saw over the holidays - it's a different house.) But first, I'm helping the best landlord ever (my sister-in-law) rent out our current house.

It's in Gilbert near the 202 South Loop; has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and a loft; and was upgraded (plantation shutters, 18" tile, 2-tone paint, landscaped yard on a drip system, etc.). We'd feel way better about moving out if we could find someone to move in...
