Without discussing whether I approve of the conversation or not, here's what I overheard between Lorin and her Daddy:
Mr. T: Lorin, would you rather be pretty, smart, or funny?
Lorin: Funny!
Mr. T: And then would you rather be pretty or smart?
Lorin: Pretty!
Mr. T: And then what do you want to be?
Lorin: Shiny!
Um, not actually a choice, but I think we got our answer nonetheless. It'll save us money on private school at least...

Lorin has already acheived all her goals. She is funny, pretty and shiny bright! We love her so much.
