On our first morning in Utah, we got up early and braved the gathering crowds to hit the second-to-last day of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. It was slow going, but Lorin was reasonably well-behaved (and had 6 adults to entertain her), although she did escape into roped-off areas a couple of times. That kid is fast.A week later, Lorin recounted the highlights: 1) the movie (that they showed before walking through) and 2) the cookie (that they gave her in the hospitality tent afterwards). Reminds me of my visit to the Jordan River Temple open house when I was around her age; all I remember is putting the blue booties over my shoes.
It was too crowded to take any pictures that day, so we went back the next weekend. The immediate grounds were gated, but we found an open patch of grass, where we ran into the daughter of some friends of my parents. She and Lorin had a great time posing for pictures and running back to see them. I think they look like an ad for the world-wide Church.

good to hear from you guys! you'll have to pronounce the name of that temple for me when you get home, because I, who pride myself on pronunciation, am at a total loss.
Lo looks bigger and more grown up than ever.
She is so beautiful! I can't believe how big she has gotten since the last time I saw her. :-) She looks more and more like her beautiful mommy every day. :-)
